Nick James founded Cambio Partners to provide a next generation advisor to the venture and growth ecosystem.

He has over 28 years experience in investing in, analysing and advising tech companies. Prior to founding Cambio, he was most recently global co-head of the Venture & Growth Banking Group at Lazard, which raised over $4bn for venture & growth companies from 2020 to 2024.

As well as advising on numerous transactions, Nick led the Insights team which published research on the venture and growth ecosystem. He also led the T500 Venture & Growth Conference which was regarded as one of the leading investor conferences in the asset class.

Nick was also previously an award winning equity research analyst covering the technology sector for 15 years with Numis, Panmure Gordon and Williams de Broe.

During this time he became a leading voice in the investment markets for all things tech related.
